The DVLA will be holding a three-day auction of personalised registrations at Twickenham rugby stadium next week, with numerous name-related plates up for grabs.

This year, which marks the 25th anniversary of DVLA personalised registration sales, over £10million has been bought into the Treasury’s coffers as a result of the auctions.
At an auction last November a staggering £38,850 was spent on the registration CO11 EEN, and next week’s sale sees a variety of ladies names going under the hammer.  For example CA12 RLA, CH10 LOE, and RE63 KAH  are all up for sale with a £900 reserve price.
Jody Davies, DVLA Personalised Registrations’ Events Manager, said: “There’s no denying it that personalised registrations have always been popular with the ladies and next week’s sale will be no exception with the line up of lots we have put together.  We were overjoyed at the interest surrounding CO11 EEN and, with the way events are shaping up, next week’s sale at Twickenham looks equally as exciting.  2014 has been yet another hugely successful year for our auction programme. The sums generated, not just surrounding our headline-grabbing high valued registrations, but also those listed with relatively low reserves, have been phenomenal.”
Men’s names on the auction list include ADR 214N (reserve price £400), GR14 HAM (reserve £1,000), HA12 VEY (reserve £1,000) and ST11 EVE (reserve £900).  Meanwhile, if you’re surname is Dobson, Barnes, Bayliss, or Harley you are also in luck.  DOB 850N is available with a £400 reserve, BA12 NES with a £900 reserve, BAY 111S with a £400 reserve, and HA12 LEY with a £900 reserve.
In all, 1,500 registrations will go under the hammer between 24-26 September, with registered bidders attending the Twickenham sale in person also able to enjoy the added bonus of a tour around the home of English rugby.
