The newly-launched Nissan NP300 Navara has fought off tough competition from, amongst others, the Mitsubishi L200 and Ford Ranger to lift the 2016 International Pick-Up Award.

During a rigorous testing process the NP300 Navara impressed the judging panel with its crossover-type comfort and refinement mixed with off-road capabilities and workhorse practicality. The new model boasts an all-new five-link rear suspension for the Double Cab version and a load bed some 67mm longer than its predecessor. Other technology on the NP300 Navara includes Around View Monitor (AVM) and Forward Emergency Braking (FEB).

Speaking at the awards ceremony in Lyon, France, Nissan LCV Vice President Philippe Guérin-Boutaud said: “This prestigious award celebrates Nissan’s 80 years of pick-up expertise. Rigorous testing by International Pick-up of the Year jurors illuminated the tough and innovative character of the all-new Navara.”
