Chrysler has launched its new supermini, the Ypsilon in the UK this month.
Eagle-eyed petrolheads will have noticed that the Ypsilon is not a Chrysler at all, but a rebadged Lancia. On top of this, the Lancia Ypsilon is based on the same platform as the Fiat Panda and 500, utilising many of the same engines.
The engines on offer include the 1.2-litre 8v Fire unit - already seen in Fiat's small cars – developing 69bhp and generating 115g/km of CO2. Other engines include a 1.3-litre turbodiesel generating 95bhp and Fiat's 0.9-litre two-cylinder TwinAir, churning out 85bhp and tax-busting emissions of 97g/km.
New kit fitted to the Ypsilon includes 'Magic Parking', a radar-guided automatic parking system, a touch-screen Sat Nav system and a host of driver aids such as Hill-holder, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Anti Slip Regulation.
Prices start from £10,695 OTR.
