Here at CarSite, there's nothing we like more than pictures of hilarious motoring mishaps and, you'd have to agree, this is a good 'un.

An eight-year-old boy took to the wheel of his mother's BMW 3-Series and managed to reverse the car at high speed into a neighbour's house. The accident happened yesterday at 8.30am (EDT) in Boston, USA after the child's mother allowed him to start the car. He then proceeded to race across the road and narrowly missed two parked cars before careering into the neighbour's porch.

The cost of the damage to the house is estimated at $80,000 (£49,584), and the car will cost $20,000 (£12,396) to repair.

No one was injured but we're pretty sure that the mother has lost her no-claims bonus.
