Volkswagen are enjoying a double celebration after both the Golf hatchback and up! city car earned best-in-class victories at the 2017 BusinessCar Awards.

Recently updated, the Golf was crowned Best Lower-Medium Car, while the up! did likewise in the City Car category.

It has been a trophy-laden year for the Golf, adding the BusinessCar award to those already bestowed by Autocar, DieselCar, HonestJohn, and others, and this success has been mirrored in the sales charts with the Golf being Britain’s top-selling car in August according to new figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

The up! also impressed the judging panel of industry experts, bringing home its own class winner trophy from this week’s awards ceremony in London.

Full details of the Golf and up! ranges can be found at Volkswagen retailers.
