A Fiat 500 L, once owned by Prime Minister David Cameron, is going up for auction later this month.

The 1971 model is expected to fetch between £8,000 and £12,000 when it goes under the hammer at the Footman James Classic Motor Show at the Birmingham's NEC on 17th November.

The 500 has covered just 13,000 miles from new, and has recently been restored to factory condition by its current owner.

'Call me Dave' bought the car for his wife Samantha as a surprise birthday present in 1998, and the Camerons covered just 1,000 miles in the ten years that they owned it.

And if you buy Cameron's 500, you can rest safe in the knowledge that he won't benefit financially from your new purchase, as the 500 is, of course, tax exempt.
