The European version of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is undergoing testing at the Nurburgring just months ahead of its UK on-sale date.
Chevrolet's technical experts are currently assessing two Corvette Stingrays in Europe by driving them on a variety of different roads. Jim Mero, vehicle dynamic engineer at General Motors, said: "We are paying particular attention to the suspension set-up and the steering at Nurburgring. European roads are quite distinct and different from those in the U.S., and so are driving habits."
The new 'Vette's suspension has been tuned specifically for European roads, and with a new aerodynamic package, a limited slip-diff, new shocks and new springs, and it's just possible that the new Corvette could be a seriously entertaining car to drive.
The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray goes on sale in the UK this autumn, with prices starting from £61,495.
