BMW has launched a series of M Performance upgrades for the M5 and M6 to celebrate the success of its factory driver Martin Tomcyzk in the DTM series.

The improvements include a range of visual changes as well as performance upgrades which are all available to retrofit to any M5 or M6 model.

On the outside, the most obvious changes are the addition of racing stripes, a gloss black grille and carbon-fibre on the mirror caps, rear spoiler and rear diffuser. In addition to this there's a new Akrapovic titanium exhaust system which is not only said to improve the sound of the car, but also lops 10kg off the kerb weight.

Also available as an option are 20-inch light alloy wheels and an M carbon-ceramic brake system. On the inside a new carbon-fibre steering wheel can be specified "with gear shift information as well as lateral and longitudinal acceleration values."
