Nissan are celebrating after the all-new Micra picked up a full five-star safety rating after Euro NCAP crash testing.

Standard safety equipment on the all-new Nissan Micra includes Intelligent Emergency Braking technology that detects slowing or stopping traffic ahead, automatically applying the brakes to avoid or reduce the severity of an impact. Also standard across the range is Pedestrian Recognition technology and Intelligent Lane Intervention. The latter gently vibrates the steering wheel when the system detects an unexpected deviation from the lane, and the Micra’s brakes are automatically applied to guide the car smoothly back into the correct lane.

All Nissan Micras boast six airbags as standard, seat belt warnings, front seat belt height adjustment, Isofix car child seat compatibility, Electronic Stability Program, anti-lock brakes, Hill Start Assist, speed limiter, automatic headlight sensor, automatic hazard lights and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

Nissan attributes its impressive performance in the Euro NCAP tests to this comprehensive package of safety features.
