Last year was a great one for Ferrari. As well as the UK, the car maker experienced significant growth in China, the USA and Germany with rising numbers in both revenues and car deliveries.

The prestigious car manufacturer Ferrari ended 2011 with outstanding results. Not only did it sell 7,195 cars - a 9.5% increase; but revenues exceeded the 2 billion euro threshold for the first time - reaching 2.251 billion Euros, which is a 17.3% increase.

574 cars were delivered (+23%) in the UK and 705 in Germany, up to 14.6% in comparison to 2010.

On top of those good results, Ferrari had a 312.4 million Euro (+3.2%) trading profit plus industrial net cash of 707.5 million euros – not to mention the new era of extreme V12 sports cars debuts at Geneva.

Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo said that they can only be satisfied with these results.

Montezemolo stressed that those results were achieved against an economic backdrop that remains challenging, particularly in Europe and are the fruit of heavy investment and a culture of innovation that covers all areas of the business.

"Our international expansion continues and Ferrari today has a network covering 58 nations," he said.

"We now have a complete range of models which will be joined in a few days time at the Geneva Show by a new 12-cylinder. A revolutionary new car that delivers extreme performance and unprecedented power output," added Montezemolo.

Furthermore, Ferrari achieved very good results in terms of international sales. It registered record sales in America in 2011 with 1,958 cars delivered, 8% more than in 2010.

An historical 62.6% increase in car delivery was achieved in the Greater China Area, which became Ferrari's second largest market some months ago. Out of a total of 777 sold in the area, 500 vehicles were sold in China alone. The Middle East also performed very well with an increase of 22% to nearly 450 cars.
