Skoda Roomster Overview

The Roomster’s controls, dials and displays have a high-quality feel the quality of the materials used is very good. But it's the Roomster’s folding rear seats that set the car apart from other models in this sector. The rear seats can be folded, collapsed, or removed completely. This adds to the vehicles practicality and versatility.

The current Roomster’s engines range from a 1.2 litre to a 1.6 litre boasting a fuel economy ranging from 37.0mpg to 67.0mpg.

The Roomster was designed with two different areas of space in mind. A front driving space, and the rear riding space. The front feels like a conventional hatchback while the rear is spacious and has more of an MPV feel. Yet the car is able to maintain its compact size.

Background

The Skoda Roomster is a 5 seat, small multi-purpose-vehicle designed with practicality and versatility in mind.

The Roomster is still in its first generation and was based on a concept car that Skoda had been working on since 2003. The car is known for its incredibly versatile rear seats which can be folded and moved to suit the desires of the user.

There is also a panel van variant of the Skoda Roomster known as the Skoda Praktik which has 2 seats and contains a bunch of features such as hidden underfloor storage, full length roof rails, anti-slip load bay floor covering and a moveable internal load bulkhead.

Summary

The Skoda Roomster offers buyers a fair price for the practicality and versatility on offer, and the car still offers Skoda’s reliability.
