Subaru are experiencing a boom in new car sales, despite the ailing economy.
The company have announced a leap in sales for 2012, with registrations making an 86% increase compared to figures for last year.
The bumper month of sales in February was boosted by growing interest in the company's newly launched model, the XV compact crossover.
All 60 dealers in the network who stocked the car experienced unprecedented levels of interest from car owners.
The first month of 2012 started with a bang for the vehicle manufacturer, with sales jumping up by 24%. The healthy sales figures could see the firm expanding its presence in the market over the course of this year.
Speaking about the company's ongoing success, Kenyon Neads, Marketing Director at Subaru U, said, "These encouraging early sales results for the Subaru XV confirm that the latest addition to our product line-up is set to establish itself as one of the most capable and best-value-for-money compact crossovers currently available."
Advanced technology
XV pairs functional features with the best in automotive design. Its high level of standard equipment has meant that it rivals other compact crossover models for space and comfort.
The XV also comes out on top in safety rankings and its five-star EuroNCAP rating makes it the safest car in its class. The model's security and safety is also assured by the highest child protection score of any vehicle in the UK.
Car owners can get their hands on one of 11 XV models from £21,295. Subaru fans have a choice of engine types including 112bhp 1.6-litre and 148bhp 2.0-litre petrol engines, and a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 145bhp and 258lb-ft of torque. The vehicle is also offered in a number of trim levels - S, SE and SE Lux Premium.
Buyers will have a choice of five and six-speed manual gearboxes or a six-speed CVT automatic transmission.
