Volkswagen has confirmed the addition of a new special-edition GTS model to its Scirocco range.
The first thing you'll notice about the new Scirocco GTS is the car's eye-catching paint scheme. The GTS can be specced in white with black stripes and red door mirrors, red with black stripes and white door mirrors, black with white stripes and red door mirrors, or grey with black stripes and red door mirrors.
In addition to this, 18-inch alloys, a panoramic sunroof and gloss black door handles are also included.
The Scirocco GTS features all of the standard kit currently fitted to the Scirocco R-Line but also gets black leather seats with red stitching, GTS logos on the steering wheel, seat headrests and sills, and a golf ball-style gearknob.
Sat-nav, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth and adaptive chassis control are also fitted as standard.
The Scirocco GTS is available with a choice of two engines: a 175bhp 2.0-litre TDI diesel or a 207bhp 2.0-litre TSI petrol. Both models come with the choice of either a six-speed manual or a twin-clutch DSG semi-automatic gearbox.
Prices for the Scirocco GTS start from £27,945 for the manual petrol-powered car, rising to £29,935 for the diesel with the DSG gearbox. Order books open on 2 January 2013.
