This is the new Volkswagen Jetta, which has been updated for 2014 with a range of subtle cosmetic tweaks and an updated engine range.
Set to be unveiled at the New York Motor Show later this week, order books for the new Jetta will open in August, with the first deliveries scheduled for November.
So, what's new? Well, the visual changes are limited to a redesign radiator grille, a new front bumper with integrated fog lamps, a new rear bumper, new LED daytime-running lights and revised taillights.
Inside, there's a new instrument display, a new steering wheel design and a range of new trim options.
The styling tweaks are aimed mainly at improving the Jetta's aerodynamic efficiency, improving fuel economy and emissions. There's more evidence of the Jetta's improved eco-credentials under the bonnet, where the 1.6-litre diesel has been dropped from the range, leaving just the 1.4-litre petrol and the 2.0-litre diesel, with 109bhp and 148bhp respectively. No economy figures have been released but all models now get Volkswagen's BlueMotion technology, with stop-start offered as standard.
Volkswagen is yet to announce what the new Jetta will cost, but we're not expecting much of an increase over the current car's £18,080 starting price.
