Vauxhall has announced the introduction of a new range-topping BiTurbo model to the Zafira Tourer range.
The new Zafira Tourer BiTurbo will use the same 192bhp twin-turbo diesel engine as the Astra and Insignia BiTurbo models, giving a 0-60mph time of 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 135mph. Vauxhall claims that this makes it one of the fastest diesel-powered seven-seat MPVs on the market.
But despite the impressive power output, Vauxhall claims that the Zafira Tourer will return a combined 50.4mpg and emit just 149g/km of CO2 thanks to stop-start technology which is fitted as standard.
The Zafira Tourer BiTurbo will be available in SE, Sri or Elite trims with a range of optional extras including Vauxhall's FlexRide adaptive chassis control system, AFL adaptive headlights and a panoramic windscreen. All models come with the Zafira's Flex7 seating system.
Order books are open now, with prices starting from £27,685. The first deliveries are expected in the spring.
