Vauxhall has today released teaser images of its new mid-size convertible.
Called the Cascada (after the Spanish word for waterfall and not the German Eurodance band), the new model is fitted with a fabric soft-top which can be opened and closed at speeds of up to 30mph.
Essentially, the Cascada replaces the old Astra TwinTop; however, it's significantly larger than the Astra, measuring 4.7-metres in length. Think of the Cascada then as a spiritual successor to the old Cavalier convertible (pictured above).
Vauxhall will not be showing the Cascada at the Paris Motor Show this month for fear of stealing the spotlight from the Adam city car, and full details will be released next month ahead of the car's UK debut next spring.
