Toyota has added two new variants to the Yaris range: the Edition and the Trend.
The cheaper of the two new models -- the Edition -- is based on the entry-level T2 model and comes with a 1.0-litre VVTi petrol engine. In addition to the features which come as standard on the T2, the Edition is also offered with 15-inch smoke-finish alloys, front fog lights, body-coloured door mirrors and handles, and rear privacy glass. Air-condition is offered as an optional extra.
The Trend, on the other hand, is based on the more upmarket SR trim and features 16-inch alloys and a chrome tailpipe. It is available with Toyota's 1.33-litre engine with either a six-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
Both the Edition and the Trend are available as three- and five-door hatchbacks, and both feature black C-pillars which give a 'floating roof' look.
The Yaris Edition is priced from £11,695 while the Trend costs from £13,795.
