With a starting price below £15,000, Toyota’s Yaris Hybrid is the most CO2 efficient combustion engine vehicle available on the current market.
The new Yaris Hybrid not only records CO2 emissions of 79g/km and fuel economy of 80.7mpg and 99 bhp, but also provides this at an accessible price, so Toyota claim.
With a starting UK price below £15,000 the hybrid will be one of the most affordable hybrid cars on sale in the UK.
Thanks to these impressive CO2 figures of just 79g/km, motorists can see the benefits in terms of running costs. These low emissions also mean that the car qualifies for free road tax in the UK and exemption from the London congestion charge. For company car drivers, the record low CO2 emissions fall within the lowest Benefit In Kind (BIK) taxation band of 10%.
Aside from featuring economy and power efficiency, it also provides drivers with other comforts specified as standard - such as air-conditioning and automatic transmission.
With customer deliveries starting in July, the Yaris Hybrid is available for pre-order from Toyota showrooms now.
Toyota's UK Dream Car Art Contest
Greener cars were one of the most widespread motoring trends at the recent 6th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. Accounting for more than 1,200 entries, British youngsters participated in the Toyota Contest offering ideas on cleaner, safer and fun to drive vehicles.
The environment was a top priority among children who created Toyota cars designed to run on animal waste, methane and water. Further ideas included ingenious ways of beating traffic jams, with vehicles that hover, fly and double up as submarines.
The UK contest is part of a global Toyota competition. British winners and their families will have the possibility of taking part in the world final this summer and travelling to Japan.
