Skoda’s latest release promises to be cleverer and more practical than ever before.
The Skoda Fabia will have room for 5 people and plenty of baggage but claims to have maintained a small footprint which will make it agile and manoeuvrable, qualities which are in high demand from urban drivers and those who like to slot into small parking spots.
Interior space is greater than that of previous Fabia models; length, volume and head room have all been improved. An internal increase of 8mm in length has been made even though there has been a decrease in external length of 8mm. The new boot space weighs in at 330 litres, 15 litres greater than the previous Fabia and beating other comparable cars. 1,150 litres of space is available when the rear seats are folded down and the boot entry has been expanded to allow easier loading from the back.
Up to nine new features will be available in keeping with Skoda’s ‘simply clever’ motto; they will be available to differing degrees depending on which specification is purchased. The ‘simply clever’ features will include an ice scraper in the fuel filler cap, storage for a high-viz vest, more drink storage and a corner light function in the fog lights.
