A new version of the popular Suzuki Vitara will make its debut across Europe in 2015.
The Japanese manufacturer’s aim has been to build a mix between an urban-friendly, comfortable modern car and one with a genuinely competitive off-road capability; they have been doing so since 1988 and the brand seems to still have a keen following.
The Vitara has been shrunk down, as have many other recently released cars in response to consumer demand for a small frame which is easy to navigate and to park in city areas.
It will use the ALLGRIP four wheel drive system, offering four different modes for various road conditions. It will retain the wide profile tyres and high ground clearance which have made the Vitara a recognisable SUV design.
Advanced technology features will include high end navigation options at the top of the range and an audio system with Smartphone connectivity. Suzuki’s Radar Brake Support system which is available with certain models will improve the SUV’s safety credentials by using milliwave radar to detect the likelihood of accidents and act to prevent or mitigate them.
The new Vitara will go into production at the Suzuki plant in Mayar, Hungary in the early part of 2015 and will then make its market debut across Europe.
