A tracking device has helped to recover a stolen car belonging to presenter Graham Norton.

The TV and radio presenter Graham Norton had his black Lexus hybrid 4x4 stolen from outside his home in East London, after thieves broke into his home to take the keys. The celebrity announced the theft on his radio show and to fans on twitter, appealing for their help tracking down the stolen vehicle. Twitter users jumped on board in large numbers with the hashtag 'findgrahamscar', but in the end their help was not needed.

Fotrunately for Graham his car was fitted with an tracking device. When this was activated it led police to the missing vehicle in Wandsworth, West London.

"I was surprised and delighted that TRACKER recovered my car so quickly," Graham Norton commented on the incident. "I thought we might have foiled the thieves through the power of Twitter, but luckily with the TRACKER device, we rescued my car from the hands of the thieves. It was shocking to think that the criminals break into your home and steal your keys, allowing them to drive off with your car and all your valuables."

The TRACKER stolen vehicle recovery system is an electronic homing device. A hidden transmitter in placed within the vehicle, in one of several dozen possible locations. A range of different tracking devices like this are available on the UK market offering a similar service, but TRACKER point out that theirs is the only system which is able to locate vehicles even if they are inside a building (such as a garage) or in a shipping container.
