The Suzuki Jimny has been updated for 2013 with a host of styling tweaks and interior improvements.

On the outside, the Jimny gets a new front bumper and grille, a new bonnet shape with a central air intake, and repositioned fog lights. The new bumper has resulted in a 30mm increase in the length of the Jimny -- it's now 3,675mm long -- however, it remains the smallest SUV currently on sale in the UK.

On the inside, the SZ3 model gets new seat fabric, and both the SZ3 and SZ4 come with new front and rear headrests, as well as standard-fit ISOFIX child seat mountings for the rear seats.

Both the SZ3 and the SZ4 are fitted with a 1.3-litre petrol engine which delivers 84bhp, and are available with either a manual or an automatic gearbox. With the manual 'box fitted the Jimny returns a combined 39.8mpg and emits 162g/km of CO2, while the automatic returns 38.7mpg and emits 167g/km of CO2.

Despite the improvements, the updated Jimny costs the same as its predecessor, with prices starting from £11,995 for the SZ3 and £12,900 for the SZ4.
