Subaru has today announced the price list for the upcoming BRZ sports coupe.
The BRZ will be priced from £24,995 when it goes on sale in the UK this summer, the same price as the Toyota GT86 on which it is based. The Subaru is fitted with a 2.0-litre Boxer engine which sends 197bhp to the rear wheels.
Unlike the Toyota, the BRZ will be offered with a choice of two trim levels, the SE and the SE Lux, and with the choice of a six-speed manual gearbox or, for an extra £1500, a six-speed flappy paddle 'box. Both the SE and SE Lux come with 17" alloys, a limited-slip differential, automatic dual-zone air-con, keyless entry, leather steering wheel and gear stick and a six-speaker audio system with CD and MP3 connectivity. Sat-Nav is a £1,000 option on both models and the SE Lux also comes with heated leather seats as standard.
Every BRZ also comes with Subaru's ETCo (Everything Taken Care of) package which covers dent and scratch repairs, annual valeting and first MOT cover alongside the standard three-year warranty.
A more basic S model is planned for 2013.
