Subaru has announced the pricing and specification details for the new Forester SUV, which will cost from £24,995 when it goes on sale in the UK in May.
£24,995 gets you behind the wheel of the basic 2.0-litre diesel model, but you'll need £30,995 for the top-of-the-range 2.0-litre petrol with a CVT automatic gearbox.
The new Forester is a major refresh of its predecessor, rather than an all-new car. It's slightly bigger than the outgoing model and Subaru claims that there are "improvements in safety, refinement and dynamics."
On the outside, the Forester has a sleeker and less utilitarian look than the old model. Subaru also claims that the new Forester features a "more spacious and better appointed cabin."
All Foresters come with Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and benefit from a low centre of gravity and improved body rigidity, both of which contribute to improved refinement and road-holding.
Full technical details and specifications for the new Forester will be released on 15 April.
