Two special edition Ssangyong models have been announced in celebration of the Korean manufacturers 60th birthday.
Although Ssangyong only entered the UK market some 20 years ago, the brand began production back in 1954, and in recognition of its diamond jubilee it is introducing limited editions of its Korando and Rexton W models.
The Guigaro designed Korando was crowned Caravan Club Towcar of the Year in 2014 in the under-£16,000 category, and has recently been treated to an internal and external facelift. Based on the 2.0-litre Euro 5 turbodiesel-powered Korando EXL4, the special edition comes with 18-inch diamond cut wheels, electric sunroof, rear spoiler, chrome detailing, and pearl white lily metallic paint finish. The special edition Korando costs £21,245 for the manual transmission model, and £22,745 for the automatic.
The 4x4 Ssangyong Rexton W limited edition is based on the EX model, and adds front parking sensors, electric sunroof, heated front and rear seats, DAB SatNav, and pearl white lily metallic paint. The 2.0-litre Euro 5 turbodiesel-powered model comes prices at £25,995 for the 6-speed manual version, and £27,495 for the automatic.
Both models are covered by Ssangyong’s 5-year limitless mileage warranty.
