Skoda walked away with two trophies at the inaugural CarBuyer Awards, taking 'Best Family Car' for the Yeti and 'Best Estate Car' for the Superb Estate.

In the first ever annual CarBuyer awards, run by Dennis publishing, Skoda took home two trophies. The Skoda Superb Estate picked up an impressive rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars to finish first in the Best Estate Car category. CarBuyer says of this vehicle:

"The Superb Estate is the most spacious car in its class, but it's also fantastic to drive - as well as being well-built and impressively luxurious." This latest gong adds to the Superb Estate's ever-growing list of accolades.

"From the driver's seat, the Estate is just like the hatch, meaning comfortable seats, plenty of space and excellent build quality. The only difference is a small button that opens the boot from the inside."

In the Best Family car sector, the Yeti crossover which has already won a wide range of UK awards, finished ahead of its more conventional rivals. CarBuyer announced that they were particularly impressed by ability of the 1.2-litre TSI engine to offer an excellent balance of performance and fuel economy, and also said:

"A practical and rugged alternative to mainstream family hatchbacks, the Skoda Yeti is a brilliant accessory to everyday life."

Prices for the Superb Estate start at £18,550, and prices for the Yeti start at £14,645.

Last year was Skoda's most successful year ever in terms of both awards and sales figures, and this latest win suggests that this impressive run is set to continue.
