Skoda has announced the pricing and specification details for the new, facelifted Superb, which goes on sale here in the UK from 17 July.
Both the Superb hatchback and estate versions have been improved, offering better fuel economy, lower CO2 emissions and a range of interior and exterior styling tweaks. Prices for the new car will start from £18,555 for the entry-level 1.4-litre hatchback S, rising to £32,455 for the range-topping Laurin & Klement estate diesel.
Six engines will be on offer: three petrols and three diesels. The petrol range includes a 123bhp 1.4-litre, a 158bhp 1.8-litre and a 256bhp 3.6-litre V6. The diesel range comprises a 104bhp 1.6-litre and a 2.0-litre unit with either 138bhp or 168bhp.
Skoda claims that the engines are now 19 per cent more economical than before, with the fuel-efficient GreenLine version now emitting just 109g/km of CO2.
Like before, there will be four levels of trim on offer: S, SE, Elegance and Laurin & Klement. In addition to the kit fitted as standard to the outgoing model, S models get a four-spoke leather multifunction steering wheel, a chrome front grille with the new Skoda logo, cruise control, a trip computer, rear LED lights and Bluetooth.
SE models also now get aluminium-look trim inlays and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, while Elegance models have been given LED daytime-running lights, DAB radio and a heated front windscreen. The spec for the top-of-the-range Laurin & Klement models remains the same.
