Skoda has created a replica of Stonehenge out of recycled cars on London's Southbank.

The sculpture, dubbed Citihenge, which took eight months to create, was commissioned to celebrate the launch of Skoda's answer to the VW up!, the Citigo. And in a move which will delight Cockney Pagans everywhere, the piece has been installed on known ley lines.

The structure weighs 30 tonnes and is able to withstand force 12 hurricane winds. The total accumulated mileage of all the cars used in the structure is 1.9 million.

Citihenge remains in London for two days, before touring the UK. Skoda will presumably hose the lamb's blood off the installation before it goes on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed at the end of the month.

The TV advert for the Skoda Citigo features Anastacia and can be watched here >>
