Skoda has extended its Yeti model line-up with a new top-of-the-range Laurin & Klement model.
The Skoda Yeti Laurin & Klement replaces the existing Yeti Elegance as the flagship model in the range and Skoda claims that the new car comes with £4,000 worth of extra equipment for an extra £2,000 premium over the Elegance model.
The Yeti Laurin & Klement will be available with a choice of three engines -- the 1.8-litre 158bhp petrol, the 138bhp 2.0-litre diesel and the 168bhp 2.0-litre diesel -- and will be offered only with four-wheel drive. The lower-powered of the two diesels also comes with a DSG gearbox as standard.
In addition to the equipment included as standard on the Elegance model, the Laurin & Klement comes with 17-inch alloys, silver roof rails, chrome side mouldings, a heated windscreen, sat-nav, DAB radio, Park Assist, black leather trim, a panoramic sunroof and unique scuff plates with L&K badges.
Laurin & Klement models will be available in the standard range of Yeti exterior colours, excluding Pacific Blue and Corrida Red. The option of a coloured roof is not available.
The Laurin & Klement badge traditionally given by Skoda to its top-of-the-range models, and is named after the firm's founders, Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement, who established the company in 1895.
Prices for the Skoda Yeti Laurin & Klement start from £24,835 for the petrol model, rising to £26,400 for the 138bhp diesel with the DSG gearbox.
