Rolls-Royce has improved its entry-level luxury car, the Ghost, with a range of subtle enhancements.

On the outside, very little has changed. Buyers can now opt for special forged alloy wheels and can specify their car in one of 44,000 paint colours; however, apart from this, the new Ghost is almost indistinguishable from the car it replaces.

On the inside, the Ghost now gets an upgraded amplifier and 'exciter' speakers (whatever they are). Rolls claims that "the audio system in Ghost richly fills the capacious rear cabin, raising the centre of sound closer to the passenger's ear."

The new Ghost will also come equipped with Comfort Access, a system which allows the driver to open the boot by placing his or her foot under the rear bumper.

The new Ghost will go into production this autumn.
