Renault has released details of three new models in its Megane range, which will be available in UK showrooms from the 1st April.
This includes the hatchback from £16,275, the Coupe from £16,775 and the Sport Tourer for £17,075.
All three models boast Stop & Start technology, which Renault claims helps to halve noise levels compared to previous engines.
New engines in the range come complete with three new power trains. According to Renault the 1.6 dCi 130 is 'the world’s most powerful and frugal diesel engine of its size' providing 70.6 mpg and 104g/km of CO2. The 1.2 TCe 115 offers 53.3 mpg (combined cycle) and 119g/km of CO2, while the 1.5 dCi 110 offers 80.7 mpg and emits just 90g/km of CO2, 'the lowest of any C-segment diesel on sale today'.
The entry-level Expression+ boasts the following features: USB connection and an upgraded audio system with fingertip remote control as well as air conditioning and front fog lights.
The new vehicles have several design changes to their exterior such as LED daytime running lights, chrome highlights and 16" alloy wheels.
Additional features include auto parking brake with Hill Start Assist, parking camera with rear parking sensors, and an Arkamys 3D Sound 4 x 35W audio system.
UK drivers can choose from two additional colour specs Azzurro Blue and Arctic White and all three models are eligible for the Renault 4+ programme. This package includes a four-year/100,000 mile warranty, free routine servicing for four years/48,000 miles, four years roadside cover and up to four years finance (lease or PCP, subject to status).
The three models also benefit from the Visio System camera which is said to improve night-vision and automatically switches to full-beam headlights at speeds of more than 28 mph.
The new Megane range will also be available in three trim variations - Expression+, Dynamique TomTom and GT Line TomTom.
