Renault has confirmed the UK pricing and specification details for its new supermini crossover, the Captur.
Prices will start from £12,495 when order books open on 1 May.
The Captur, which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March, is based on Renault-Nissan's 'B' platform, a platform which also forms the basis of both the Renault Clio and the Captur's key rival, the Nissan Juke.
Four trim levels will be on offer on the new Captur: Expression, Expression+, Dynamique MediaNav and Dynamique S MediaNav.
Entry-level Expression models come with 16-inch alloys, cruise control, body-coloured bumpers, stability control, traction control, trip computer, speed limiter and Hill Start Assist.
Moving up the range, Expression+ adds front fog lights, a hands-free keycard, body-coloured door mirrors and handles, climate control and automatic lights and wipers. Prices start from £14,495.
The Dynamique MediaNav, which starts from £14,995, is expected to become the biggest-selling model in the UK market, offering Renault's MediaNav infotainment system, Bluetooth, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and cornering lights.
Top-of-the-range Dynamique S MediaNav models start from £16,495 and get electric-folding doors mirrors, heated front seats, rear parking sensors and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Three engines will be on offer: a 0.9-litre three-cylinder petrol, a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. Emissions and economy are impressive across the range, with the diesel offering 76.4mpg and emitting 95g/km of CO2, and the thirstier of the two petrol engines -- the 1.2 -- returning a respectable 52.3mpg and 125g/km.
The performance pick is the 1.2, which gets from 0-62mph in 10.9 seconds, while the 0.9 petrol takes 13.0 seconds and the diesel manages it in 13.1.
The first Capturs will hit UK showrooms on 1 June.
