Renault has announced the UK pricing and specification for the new Twingo.
The 2012 model of the Renault Twingo is on sale in the UK now. The styling has been refreshed, including what Renault describes as a 'cheekier' front end, with a revised bumper, tailgate and all-new rear lights.
The latest Twingo is available in the existing seven body colours, plus two entirely new ones - Fuchsia and Bermuda Blue. At the back of the car there are new lights located on the tailgate, in addition to the main cluster. The rear bumper is more rounded, as is the lower part of the tailgate.
A selection of eight different alloy wheels are available as optional extras, as is an electrically operated fabric sunroof. Renault is also introducing a new collection of five decals for this model. They are factory fitted with a variety of contrasting motifs. Buyers are also offered a choice of colours for the protective side mouldings, door mirrors and tips.
On the interior of the new Twingo the 'Luxe Carbon' seats have a new design, with red stitching around the edges. Cruise control and speed limiter functions come as standard, which is unique in the Twingo's class.
The 1.2-litre 16V 75bhp engine in the new Twingo is capable of delivering 55.4mpg fuel economy on the combined cycle, and 119g/km of CO2 emissions. This means that it is free from road fund licence in the first year and will cost just £30 a year from year two.
