Range Rover has announced plans to launch a number of special edition Range Rover models this year as the current model celebrates its 10th year anniversary.
The new Range Rover line-up is likely to include three new Special Editions; The TDV8 Westminster, TDV8 Autobiography and Supercharged Autobiography.
The third generation Range Rover celebrates its tenth birthday this year, after been introduced to the motoring world in 2002 to critical acclaim.
As any Range Rover fan will be aware, since 2002 there have been several updates to the model specifications, but 2012 promises to bring a host of new model launches. Among them is the much anticipated launch in March of the TDV8 Westminster Edition.
The Westminster Edition replaces the TDV8 Vogue and Vogue SE models. On the outside the Westminster Edition has what Land Rover describe as a ‘bright noble’ finish to the front grille and vents, as well as a ‘Titan silver’ lower splitter bar and fog lamp bezels.
On the inside you can expect illuminated treadplates and luxury carpets, with Grand Black lacquer trim finishing it all off superbly.
The front seats also feature heat and cooling functions and an in car entertainment system complete with a 19-Speaker, 1,200W harman/kardon LOGIC7 surround sound speaker system as well as Range Rover’s innovative Dual View infotainment screen.
The Westminster Edition has a 4.4-litre TDV8 engine and is available with eight-speed automatic transmission. It is available in 7 different colours, as well as 5 interior colour styles.
Standard specs include an electric sunroof, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, Park Distance Control with rear-view camera, memory setting for the steering wheel, driver’s seat and rear-view mirror and a heated, leather trimmed steering wheel.
The TDV8 Westminster Edition is priced at £69,995 and offers car buyers many extra specifications that the former Vogue and Vogue SE models did not have.
