The prices and specifications for the new Hyundai i30 have been announced today.
The latest generation of the five door i30 hatchback from Hyundai will go on sale in the UK from 12th March this year. Prices for the i30 will start at £14,495 OTR for the entry level Classic model, which has an insurance rating of 7E.
The outgoing i30 was initially launched in 2007, and was the first 'i' product in Hyundai's range. The latest version will build on the success of this initial version with a new styling treatment, improved quality on the interior, and additional technology.
In addition to the entry level Classic trim, the new Hyundai i30 will also be available with Active, Style and Style Nav trim levels, and buyers will be offered the choice of either petrol or diesel engines. In total five different engine outputs will be offered including Hyundai's latest 1.6-litre diesel with CO2 emissions of under 100g/km. It will also come with a choice of manual or automatic transmission.
All 1.6 CRDi manual models will come with Hyundai's 'Blue Drive' technologies fitted as standard to improve efficiency. These include an intelligent stop & Go system. This engine is available with power outputs of 108bhp and 136bhp. The 108bhp version has CO2 emissions of just 97g/km, which is the lowest figure for any diesel car in its segment.
A range of new standard features will come with every version of the new i30, including voice-activated Bluetooth, LED daytime running lights, multi-function steering wheel, electric heated door mirrors and one touch indicators. There are also some added safety features included as standard, including Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Start Assist Control, and Emergency Stop Signal.
The Active trim level also includes 15 inch alloy wheels, cruise control, rear parking sensors and the new dynamic Flex Steer system which offers three steering settings - Comfort, Normal and Sport.
The style trim level upgrades the alloy wheels to 16 inches and also includes front parking sensors, dual zone climate control, auto de-fog system on the front windscreen and electric folding door mirrors with LED indicators.
As the name suggests, the Style Nav trim builds on the Style trim with the addition of a fully integrated satellite navigations system, which includes touchscreen and rear view parking camera.
