Renault has announced the full pricing and specifications for the 2012 Scenic and Grand Scenic.
The new Renault Scenic will be available to order from 23rd January, with prices starting from £18,325 OTR for the Scenic and £19,725 for the Grand Scenic. New styling features for the latest Scenic models include a modernised front face, gloss black and chrome detailing, and new LED daytime running lights as standard. Two new colours have also been introduced for this year - Azzurro Blue and Damask Red.
The new Scenic models for 2012 will benefit from the addition of both rear parking sensors and LED daytime running lights, in addition to last year's standard equipment list which includes 16-inch alloy wheels, auto lights and wipers, Bluetooth connectivity, Caminat TomTom Live satellite navigation, cruise control, and a Hill Start Assist system to prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards when starting off on a steep hill.
Two new engines will make their debut in the 2012 Scenic range. These are a 1.2-litre TCe petrol capable of delivering 115bhp, and a 1.5-litre dCi diesel delivering 110bhp with Stop & Start system for increased efficiency. The 1.5-litre unit offers fuel consumption of 68.9mpg with CO2 emissions of 105g/km.
Only one trim level is available for both Scenic and Grand Scenic, however there is a 'Luxe Pack' costing £1,500 which offers increased equipment levels. This optional extra provides 17-inch Sari alloys, BOSE Energy Efficient audio system including 9 speakers and a digital amplifier, dual-zone climate control, electric folding door mirrors, sliding centre console, and the newly introduced 'Visio System'. The Renault Visio System includes a lane departure warning and automatic high/low beam headlights.
Prices for the Scenic range start from £18,325 for the Dynamique TomTom 1.6 VVT 110, and go up to £21,325 for the 1.6 dCi 130 Stop & Start. The larger seven-seat Grand Scenic costs from £19,725 for the Dynamique TomTom 1.6 VVT 110, and goes up to £22,725 for the top of the range Dynamique TomTom 1.6 dCi 130 Stop & Start.
