British car buyers looking to ‘go green’ might be interested in the two latest Peugeot models, both of which come with the latest modular hybrid technology introduced as a ‘world first’ on the recently-released 3008 HYbrid4 model.
Peugeot 508 RXH
This first model has a starting price of £33,695. The car's top speed is 132mph and it gets from 0-62mph in 9.5 seconds. The vehicle also features a combined power output 200bhp, CO2 emissions of 107g/km and combined economy of 68.9mpg.
508 Saloon HYbrid4
The second new model that Peugeot has released is a large car with CO2 at just 95g/km. The starting price of this model in the UK is slightly lower than the RXH, as British buyers can get their hands on the Saloon HYbrid4 from £31,450.
Peugeot claims that the 508 Saloon HYbrid4 uses its hybrid powertrain to optimise driving performance, economy and versatility.
In addition, both models benefit from the lowest-in-sector taxation, with the 508 RXH having a Benefit-in-Kind taxation of 12%, and the 508 Saloon HYbrid4 of 10%.
'Ticking all the boxes'
Phil Robson, Fleet and Used Car Director, at Peugeot UK, commented on these two new models:
"Never until now has there been a choice of cars that comprehensively ticks so many boxes. I firmly believe we have a real success story on our hands with the 508, and I think businesses will greatly value the considerable virtues that we have to offer in these new and accomplished HYbrid4 products."
Car buyers interested in those models can purchase them now, as both models are already available to order. The 508 RXH will be on sale from May, while the 508 Saloon HYbrid4 will hit the UK market in July 2012.
