Peugeot has released full details of its new 108 city car, which will cost from £8,245 when it goes on sale in Britain on 1 July.
The 108, which will be built and sold alongside the new Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo, will be available as either a three- or a five-door hatchback, and will also be offered with the option of a convertible fabric roof. The cabriolet model -- called Top -- will cost £850 more than the equivalent hatchback.
Four trim levels will be on offer -- Access, Active, Allure and Feline -- with standard features on all models including LED daytime-running lights, remote central locking, USB and aux-in connections with steering wheel-mounted controls, six airbags and stability control.
Active models begin at £9,495, adding colour-coded door handles and mirrors, air-conditioning, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, DAB radio, Bluetooth and a height-adjustable driver's seat.
Moving up the range, Allure models start at £10,995 and get 15-inch alloys, front fog lamps, automatic lights, electric heated door mirrors, a reversing camera, a leather steering wheel and gear knob, and keyless entry and go.
The range-topper is the £11,845 Feline model, which gets leather seats, chrome door handles and mirrors and automatic dual-zone air-conditioning.
Peugeot claims that a wide range of personalisation options will be a key part of the 108's appeal, with eight body colours, three rood colours and seven 'themes' -- Barcode, Diamond, Dressy, Dual, Kilt, Sport and Tattoo -- on offer.
