Nissan has revealed its new Note.
Unfortunately, the pictures here show the Japanese-spec version of the Note, not the European one; however, when the Note arrives in the UK early next year it will look broadly similar to the car you see above.
The European version of the Note will share the same bodywork as the Japanese car, but will feature different bumpers, front grille and door mirrors inspired by Nissan's Invitation concept car.
The new Note is more streamlined and sleek than the previous model but Nissan claims that the new car is as spacious as its predecessor.
The Note will be available with Nissan's Around View Monitor, a device which uses cameras to show an aerial view of the car and its surroundings to the driver, making parking much easier.
Nissan has yet to reveal the full UK engine line-up but expect the Note to feature the three-pot DIG-S petrol engine from the Micra, as well as a selection of four-pot petrols and diesels.
The Note will be built at Nissan's factory in Sunderland and will go on sale in the UK in early 2013.
