Nissan has revealed its new 370Z Nismo Coupe, the second model in the firm's line-up to carry the Nismo badge.
The 370Z Nismo is fitted with the same 3.7-litre V6 as the standard car, but Nissan has boosted the power output from 324bhp to 339bhp. The extra power means 62mph will arrive in just 5.2 seconds, a 0.1 second improvement over the standard model.
In addition to this, Nissan has stiffened the chassis and lowered the suspension by 10mm to improve handling. A new sports exhaust has also been fitted to improve the car's engine note.
Nissan has also improved the 370Z's exterior with unique 19-inch alloy wheels, which are fitted with Bridgestones specifically designed for the car, along with lower side sills, a new rear spoiler and red pinstripes on the front and rear bumpers.
On the inside, the 370Z gets sports seats, a steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara and new black and red trim.
The 370Z will go on sale in the UK in June.
Hotter Nissan Juke Nismo
In addition to the 370Z Nismo, Nissan has also confirmed that it will build a more powerful version of the Juke Nismo.
The new car, which will likely be named the Juke Nismo RC, will be around 20bhp more powerful than the standard 197bhp model and will produce around 20 per cent more torque. The new car will also be 20mm lower and will be fitted with uprated springs, shocks and dampers.
The new Juke Nismo will be offered in front-wheel drive guise with the standard manual transmission, while four-wheel drive will be offered only on models fitted with the CVT automatic gearbox.
The new Juke Nismo is likely to go on sale before the end of the year.
