Prices for the new Volkswagen CC - formally known as the Passat CC - are starting from £24,200, and it is now available to order.
For that price you get the entry level, basic CC trim, with a 1.8 litre TSI turbo petrol engine which produces 158bhp. As is the case with the Passat range, the CC is also available with a 2.0 litre TSI petrol engine producing 207bhp, and a 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine producing either 138bhp or 168bhp.
At entry level the CC includes Bluetooth connectivity, sat-nav, DAB radio, climate control and 17-inch alloys. 18-inch alloys, leather upholstery, heated seats, parking sensors and cruise control are reserved for the more costly GT models.
Optional extras for the CC include massaging seats, automatic headlight beam adjustment, and a road sign recognition system, so that you have got no excuse for missing that camera sign.
Aesthetically, in comparison to the old Passat CC, the new Volkswagen CC has a lower bumper, a chrome grille, and newly shaped headlights.
