The new Mitsubishi Shogun range enters the UK market this week.
The latest incarnation of highly-regarded 4x4 comes with a new turbo diesel power unit, and is available as both a short-wheelbase 3-door model, or as a long-wheelbase 5-door version. The new design for the Shogun features a bold front grille, short front overhang, and the familiar flared wheel-arches and rear-mounted spare wheel, along with new twelve spoke 18-inch alloy wheels.
The new line-up has seen the introduction of new specification levels called SG2, SG3, SG4, although in addition the familiar SWB Shogun Warrior model remains, positioned between SG2 and SG3.
The 197bhp diesel returns a combined 36.2mpg in SWB manual form, while emitting 207g/km of CO2. In this configuration the entry level Shogun SG2 is priced from £29,499, with the range rising to £40,999 for a top spec SG4 model. All models come with Mitsubishi’s 3-year unlimited mileage warranty.
Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the Mitsubishi Shogun in the UK, during which time the model has sold over 100,000 units.
