Porsche has revealed what it calls the "purist" member of the Panamera family, the GTS
Under the bonnet the GTS is fitted with a 4.8-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine which has been uprated to deliver an extra 30bhp, resulting in the GTS producing 430bhp. A seven-speed PDK transmission sends power from the tuned engine to all four wheels. Weighing in at 1920kg, the GTS will get from 0-62mph in an impressive 4.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 179mph.
The GTS' tuned chassis features adaptive air suspension combined with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) which Porsche claims not only improves comfort but also has a profound effect on driving dynamics. The Sport Chrono Package is also featured as standard which sharpens up the Panamera's responses and switches the car to a more performance-oriented setting at the touch of a button.
Looks-wise, the Panamera GTS has a number of turbo-inspired design features including black high-gloss side window trim, rear lid trim, rear diffuser and side air outlet panels. Matte black tailpipes and 19" Panamera turbo wheels complete the look.
The Panamera goes on sale in the UK next February, with prices starting from £90,409. All Panamera GTSs come with Porsche Vehicle Tracking System, ParkAssist, touch-screen sat nav, cruise control and a three year Porsche warranty.
