Porsche has confirmed that the second generation 911 Carrera GTS will arrive in UK showrooms next month.
The new 911 Carrera will join the Boxster GTS, Cayman GTS and Panamera GTS in Porsche’s sports car range.
The new 911 Carrera GTS will be available in Coupe and Cabriolet body styles, both of which will come in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive versions.
The rear-mounted flat-six power unit in the new 911 Carrera GTS has been tuned to develop 430 bhp, and comes with dynamic engine mounts, and the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) damper system which lowers the ride height by ten millimetres. Despite improved performance figures, the new GTS model enjoys the same fuel economy as the Carrera S. For example, the 911 Carrera GTS fitted with Porsche’s double-clutch gearbox will return a combined figure of 32.5 mpg while doing 0-62 mph in just 4 seconds flat. With the standard seven-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, the new Porsche Carrera GTS has a top speed of 198 mph.
Externally new 911 Carrera GTS is distinguished from the other Carrera models by wide-flared rear wheel arches and a wider track, exclusive 20-inch matt black alloy wheel, and unique trim features such as black chrome-plated exhaust tailpipes, and GTS black trim strips on the air intake grille and rear engine lid. Inside are Alcantara leather-trimmed sports seats for driver and passenger.
In addition, all models come with black-tinted bi-Xenon headlights, Posrche’s dynamic lighting system, sports exhaust, 7-inch colour touch-screen, satellite navigation, digital radio, MP3 connectivity, and automatic climate control.
The all-new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is available to order now ahead of its November UK showroom launch, with prices starting from £91,098 for the rear-wheel drive 911 Carrera GTS Coupe. The 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet has a £99,602 price tag, while both body styles are available in all-wheel drive Carrera 4 format priced at £95,862 for the Coupe, and £104,385 for the Cabriolet.
Buyers will also benefit from a complimentary course at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone.
