British car buyers interested in the latest and newest model from Peugeot can now start placing their orders. The vehicle officially hits UK showrooms on June 28.
Peugeot describes the model as ‘Smaller on the outside, bigger on the inside’. To achieve the manufacturer’s mission to create an eco-friendly vehicle, the new 1.0 litre 3-cylinder petrol engine emits just 99g/km of CO2.
In addition, the e-HDi diesel engine emits CO2 levels from 87g/km.
The car will be on sale for a starting price of £9,995 for those car buyers who go for the 3 door VTi 69ps Access model.
“The new Peugeot 208 presents a great opportunity in a pivotal segment of the UK market and is available on Peugeot’s innovative ‘Just Add Fuel’ programme, which has recently been enhanced to be available to drivers from 21 years,” said the manufacturer.
In addition, car buyers will be able to choose from a range of eight different engines: five petrol - including the new generation 3-cylinder engines - and three diesel. Peugeot stressed that the 208 models represent significant CO2, MPG and fiscal benefits across the range.
The car is also offered in the UK in five trim levels - Access, Access+, Active, Allure and Feline. Including ‘an exciting’ ‘Ice Velvet’ Limited Edition available from launch.
“Specification also plays a key role with the 208 story and key equipment has been integrated across the range to ensure class leading specification, including the new touch screen which will be standard on 80% of sales,” added the manufacturer.
