Leading car manufacturer Lexus has announced that its new high performance GS 250 SE will be available to customers from an on-the-road price of £32,995.

The reasonable price for the high specification vehicle is also matched by the £44,995 starting figure for its luxury model - the full hybrid GS 450h.

Standard Features

The GS 250 SE is powered by a 206bhp (154kW) 2.5-litre V6 Dual VVT-i petrol engine and it boasts features such as 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic bi-xenon headlamps and windscreen wipers, LED daytime running lights and a rear-view camera with parking guide monitor.

The car’s interior is also designed with Lexus’s trademark luxury style in mind and includes leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control and front seats that can be adjusted electronically. Buyers can also relax with an array of onboard entertainment such as a 12-speaker audio system with CD player, DAB tuner, Bluetooth and a USB port for connecting mp3 players.

Both the GS models are available in Luxury and F Sport grades. The luxury model takes the SE’s specifications to another level with the inclusion of 18-inch alloys, front and rear parking sensors and an HDD satellite navigation system with Remote Touch controller.

The F Sport for the GS gives drivers a sporting image that is true to its class with 19-inch rims, a boot-lip spoiler and sports-styled bumpers and front grille.

The F Sport also includes an Adaptive Variable Suspension and selectable drive modes plus, on the 450h model, the Lexus Dynamic Handling System which combines several superior steering and handling features such as Rear Steering and electric power steering.

Optional Features

The new range of GS models come with optional features such as a sun roof, which is available for all versions except the GS 250 SE, and metallica or mica paint. Luxury and F Sport GS models can also add The Mark Levinson premium surround system, with 12.3-inch navigation and multimedia screen, to their vehicles.

Other optional features include the addition of LED headlamps and a preventive package that features Adaptive Cruise Control and Pre-Crash Safety.
