Jaguar has unveiled two new special edition models of the Jaguar XK and slashed prices across the range, in an attempt to reignite interest in the ageing grand tourer.
The new Signature and Dynamic R models are available from £54,950 and £69,950, respectively. The Portfolio trim has also been axed and prices have been slashed by around £10,000 across the board.
The new XK Signature model is the luxury-focussed model in the new XK range and is available in both coupe and convertible bodystyles. Luxury features include new seats, available in either ivory or charcoal soft grain leather, suede headlining, ebony wood veneer and a reversing camera.
Power comes from Jaguar's naturally-aspirated 380bhp 5.0-litre V8, with 60mph taking 5.2 seconds in coupe guise and 5.3 seconds in convertible guise, and a limited top speed of 155mph for both models.
The Dynamic R model is based on the XKR and comes with the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 with 503bhp. 0-60mph takes just 4.6 seconds.
Dynamic R models now get Jaguar's Black Dynamic Pack and Speed Pack as standard, which add the stiffer, lower suspension from the XKR-S, a bodykit, a sports exhaust, diamond-stitched seats and an improved 174mph top speed as standard.
Jaguars Active Differential Control (ADC) technology, which uses a multiplate clutch to vector torque to the driven wheel with the most grip, is also included.
Both models come with 20-inch alloy wheels as standard and are available in a choice of colours, including Polaris White, Ultimate Black, Stratus Grey, Italian Racing Red, Dark Sapphire and British Racing Green.
