The all new Honda Civic is set to arrive in UK showrooms from 1st February and it coincides with a new TV advertising campaign to boost the launch.
The new 30 second TV adverts for the 2012 Civic range aired for the first time on Monday 30th January. Recent Honda adverts have won popular appeal with the public due to their innovative and entertaining formats, and the new Civic advert is no exception.
The advert, which is available to watch on Honda’s YouTube channel, moves from the first conception of the new Civic in the Honda factory before shooting off into a number of different directions. The advert eventually concludes with the launch of the new car.
The 2012 Honda Civic is the ninth incarnation of the successful compact model and prices start from just £16,495 for the entry-level 1.4-litre, 98.64bhp i-VTEC SE. The Civic will also be available in familiar Honda trim levels of SE, ES, EX and EX GT. Hybrid and natural-gas versions of the car are also set to be launched in the near future.
One of the features Honda appears to be particularly pleased about is the Dual Zone driver's environment that they have created. The new ‘zone’ promises to put drivers in touch with all the information ‘they need, when they need it.’ This includes information such as average speed and fuel consumption, as well as climate control in your peripheral vision.

"We have timed the launch of the TV advert to coincide with the first cars arriving in showrooms to really maximise awareness. The advert is a synopsis of the unknown journey the engineers took to continuously improve the Civic and is brought to life in a dramatic reveal of the new model at the end," added Moll.
