Shoppers in Essex are set for the first public glimpse of the new Ford Focus next week when it goes on display at Lakeside.

The Thurrock retail park will be displaying the new model in its Debenhams flagship store from 17th February for four days. Ford is displaying the exciting new Focus nearly two weeks before it goes on sale on 1st March.

It is estimated around 7,500 people will visit Lakeside on each day the new Ford Focus is there, equating to 30,000 potential shoppers that will see the car in Debenhams.

Ford Britain’s sales director, Jon Wellsman, had this to say: "UK motorists are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new Ford Focus, replacing the model which was top selling car for 10 years. Essex is the Ford brand's spiritual home, so putting our newest car on display to Lakeside shoppers will please our local Ford fans."

The new model boasts a range of impressive technological features, including automated parallel parking, traffic sign recognition and a lane keeping aid (to keep the car in between lane markings).

The Focus will be priced from £15,995.
