SEAT’s Ibiza Cupra Bocenegra is proving popular amongst second-hand car buyers, with strong resale values.

The Ibiza Cupra Bocenegra was launched by Spanish car maker SEAT in 2009, and features a 178bhp engine with DSG automatic/sequential manual gearbox. According to the latest figures from used car guide CAP, the Bocenegra retains over 77% of its £18,655 showroom value after 12 months, putting it well ahead of many of its rivals in terms of retained value.

According to the latest edition of the CAP Black Book, a well-respected industry guide to used car values, a 12 month old BMW Z4 2.31 sDrive retains just over 71% of its value, and a Mercedes-Benz C250 CGI automatic can expect to retain just 67% of the original sales price.

The Used Car Manager for SEAT UK David Arden gives his take on the high resale values saying:

"Demand for the Ibiza Cupra Bocanegra is exceptionally strong from dealers desperate to get their hands on the car.

"It's no surprise, perhaps, that this very special Ibiza's combination of hot hatch performance and stand-out styling has buyers queuing up."

The Bocenegra, which means 'black mouth' in Spanish, features distinctive black styling on its front end, and is fitted with a turbocharged, supercharged, 1.4-litre TSI engine. The front styling includes blackened double headlights, honeycomb mesh on the central grille, and black grille surround with air vents at the base. The car also features black door mirror housings and is sold with the option of adding a dark tinted glass sunroof and 17 inch Sira alloy wheels.

On the inside, the sports seats have unique upholstery made up of rhomboids stitched together with red contrast stitching.
